Drug Free Communities Project Coordinator

Newton County Family Connection has an immediate opening for a Drug Free Communities (DFC) Project Coordinator. The DFC Project Coordinator will work with Family Connection leadership to: (a) engage and collaborate with youth, community partners, businesses, and key stakeholders to manage a coalition that prevents youth substance abuse, (b) educate through innovative community engagement, (c) develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based programs to reduce and prevent youth substance use, and (d) assist in identifying ways to sustain prevention programming through networking, presentations, and research.


Qualifications: Bachelors’ degree in Public Health, Social Work, or other Human Services field or equivalent experience in the field of prevention or health and human services to ensure required skills and knowledge.


At least two years’ experience with planning and implementing community-based prevention programming.
